
The girls tennis team beat the 1-1 Blair Blazers 7-0 on Sept. 7, advancing the Vikes’ record to 2-0.
Singles player Anna Volkov had a strong game, and her resilience helped her tip a tie breaker in her favor. It was another strategic win for the Vikings, doubles player Farah Gustafson said.
“The beginning of the match was a bit shaky at first,” Gustafson said. “But then we were able to figure out their weaknesses.”
Next the Vikes travel to take on the Sherwood Warriors Sept. 13.
