The field hockey team fell 5-2 to the Poolesville Falcons in a hard fought game Sept. 5, beginning its season with an 0-1 record.
Forward Allie Boyan scored both goals, one in each half. But after a strong start in the first half, the Vikes ran out of steam about ten minutes into the second half, when Poolesville got its lead, and the Vikes couldn’t catch back up.
“Just not giving up is our number one problem, because we can push, and we have really good potential,” captain Kate O’Brien said. “We just have to be more consistent.”
The Vikes look to level out their record Sept. 12 as they travel to face the 1-0-1 Springbrook Blue Devils.
