The girls lacrosse team fell to the 10-1 Sherwood Warriors 23-4 in its second playoff game on May 11, ending its season with a record of 6-9.
Attacks Clara Schneider and Sarah Backenstoe, and midfielders Sommer Wiss and Marissa Hosker scored the Vikes’ four goals.
Sherwood’s consistent control of the ball limited the Viking’s offensive success, Schneider said.
“We only could break their defense when we actually had the ball on offense,” she said.

Although the season ended in defeat, there were several high points during the season. Schneider notes the team’s 13- 2 victory April 12 over rival B-CC as a season highlight.
“Beating B-CC was really exciting, and we got about where we thought we would,” Schneider said.
