The girls lacrosse team fell to the 6-3 Quince Orchard Cougars 13-7 May 2, lowering its record to 4-6.
Though goalkeeper Lily Blum had 15 saves in the first half, the Cougars were still able to score six goals, leading the Vikings by two at the half.
The Cougars stretched their lead in the second half, more than doubling the amount of goals they scored in the first.
“Our fundamentals were off,” Blum said.
Attacker Clara Schneider put in a strong effort, scoring several goals, but they weren’t enough to bring the Vikes back in the second half. The team couldn’t keep up with the Cougars for the majority of the game, defender Kristina Feldsman said.
“It was a hard game for us in general,” she said.
The Vikings will look to bounce back when they take on the 5-5 Seneca Valley Eagles at home May 4.
