The football team defeated the 0-5 Blair Blazers, 35-15, Oct. 14, raising its record to 4-3.
Once again, the Vikes running game showed its dominance, scoring four times from the ground. Running back Val Djidotor and quarterback Michael Flack each had two touchdowns. Wide receiver Stephen Werner also scored through a 28 yard pass from Flack.
The defense posed as a threat as well, with Flack leading the way with two interceptions.
The Vikes offensive line blocked well, giving Flack time to adequately pass the ball to open receivers.
“Now with a passing game, we can spread out the field on offense to keep the ball moving and keep the defense on their toes, not knowing what to expect,” defensive lineman Kyle Einwaechter said.
The Vikes travels to face the 5-1 Damascus Swarmin’ Hornets Oct. 21.
