The boys baseball team beat the Springbrook Blue Devils 13-3 on May 7, improving its record to 14-3.
The Blue Devils, who have yet to win a game, couldn’t muster the offensive power to respond to The Vikes powerful start. Starting the game out strong, Sam Avayou, Michael Flack and Paul Balland each scored in the first inning. Mike Yang pitched the entire game, which ended after the sixth inning due to the mercy rule.
Flack, who hit his third home run of the season, had positive things to say about his teammates.
“Mike Yang was strong on the mound,” he said. “(Dan) Duffy hit his third home run in two games, which is big. We hit the ball well, scored a lot of runs, and played good defense.”
The team will take on the 10-2 Sherwood Warriors at home for its final regular season game on May 9.
