Girls lacrosse outclasses Walter Johnson 11–7 in regional title

Swim and dive beats B-CC

The swim and dive team conquered rivals BCC on Dec. 18, with a score of 92-79 for the boys and 104-67 for the girls.

The girls started off with energy, placing first in the 200 yard relay in 1:53. Senior Michael Kellman was then able to pull the Vikings ahead by completing the 200 yard freestyle in 1:48 and sophomore Audrey Gould in 1:58.

Sophomore Patrick Scordato finished the 100 yard butterfly in 53.98 seconds, defeating his BCC competitor by three seconds. Junior Lauren Levy completed the 500 yard freestyle in 5:15, over a minute faster than BCC.

The Vikings completed the meet strongly after victorious relays from both the boys and girls. John Mooers, Ben Bouvier, Patrick Scordato and Michael Kellman finished in 3:24 minutes. Charlotte Meyer, Lauren Levy, Katie Mahaffie and Gwen Meyer led the girls in 3:56 minutes.

The team will next compete in the Division I relay carnival on Jan. 8 at the Gaithersburg Aquatic Center.
