The wrestling team (1–0) annihilated Landon in their dual meet on Wednesday night in front of a packed crowd. The Vikes won 12 of the 14 matches and took an impressive 64–6 victory in their first home dual of the season. The two losses were both very tight, with one even going into overtime.
Senior Andy Boshnick led the way for Whitman with an impressive pin to earn the win in his matchup.
“I’m very proud of every guy on the team for doing their job tonight,” said a delighted Boshnick. “I’m looking forward to keeping the wins coming and getting better as the season goes on.”
Seniors Chris Lindstrom, Jacob Sherman and Adan Magnas all had pins in their contests as well. The Vikings simply overpowered Landon throughout the night and showed why they are still the team to beat in Maryland wrestling.
The Vikes are in action again this Saturday, December 13th, at 10 a.m. in a tri-meet at Blair against Blair and Quince Orchard.
