Girls tennis lost to the undefeated Churchill Bulldogs 5-1 Oct 11, giving the Lady Vikes just their second loss this season.
Singles players Sarah Macy and Nicole Welch fell to Churchill’s powerful pair of sisters, the Judehs. Macy and Welch gave the Bulldogs a fight but ended up just short in each set.
However, No. 1 doubles pair of Haley Johnson and Grace Chandler took out their opponents in two sets, 6-1 and 7-6.
The Bulldogs won the remaining singles matches and also defeated the doubles pair of Leah Osnos and Whitney Cinkala, clinching their victory.
Despite losses to rivals BCC and Churchill, the girls finished the season with an impressive record of 10-2. The Vikings will look to extend their season in the county playoffs next week.
