Girls tennis defeated the Sherwood Warriors 6-1, Oct 1, raising its record to 8-1.
Singles players Hannah Stahl, Anna Volkov and Grace Chandler easily took down their opponents in two complete sets.
After a struggle in her first set, freshman Nicole Welch regained her composure in the second. However, she later fell to her opponent in the 10-point tiebreaker.
Partners Haley Johnson and Whitney Cinkala along with Rachel Sisco and Rachel Arnesen each won 6-0 in their matches.
“Each individual team that won today, will help with our standings, “ says Captain Johnson. “This just helps with our overall county record, which is something we have been trying to work really hard on.”
The girls will play the Division 1 Walter Johnson Wildcats on Oct 5.
