Softball team overcomes Churchill Bulldogs 8–6

The softball team (8–10) conquered the Churchill Bulldogs (10–8) 8–6 in the resumed half of their second playoff game Tuesday.

After the rain delay Monday, the game picked up in the fourth inning with the score tied at 3–3. The Vikes broke the tie in the sixth inning after key hits from first baseman Katie Eichhorn and catcher Margaret Oleynik. In the remaining innings, they concentrated on their defensive technique to secure their two run lead.
