The girls basketball team beat rival B-CC Barons Wednesday night for the second time this season by a score of 71–46, improving to 13–3.
It was a hostile environment at B-CC, but the Vikes and guard Abby Meyers quickly hushed the rowdy Barons crowd. Meyers opened up by scoring the first 11 points of the game while drilling multiple three pointers.
The Barons showed some fight after that, but the Vikes never let them pick up any momentum, winning the first quarter 21–9. Meyers earned 14 of her 27 points in the first quarter.
The team went on to outscore the Barons slightly in every quarter, prevailing despite B-CC’s physical presence.
Guard Livy Meyers had 17 points off the bench, and guard Hannah Niles added 12 points.
The team hosts the Einstein Titans Monday at 7:15.
