The girls basketball team (7–3) returned from a ten-day break Friday night, taking down the Churchill Bulldogs 64–21.
The team continued their trend of hot starts by jumping out to a 13–2 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Vikes shut down the Bulldogs, going into the half up 28–9.
It was all easy going from there, with the Vikes pushing their lead to 50–15 at the end of the third, where they could rest their starters from there.
“Our ball movement was great for all 32 minutes, which gave a lot of people scoring opportunities,” Guard Hannah Niles said.
Niles had a big day, putting up 18 points on nine made field goals. Guard Marie Hatch added 14 points, and forward Livy Meyers added 13.
The team plays the Richard Montgomery Rockets Tuesday at 7:15.
