The girls basketball team beat the Magruder Colonels 67–38 Monday night, improving their record to 2–2 on the season.
The Vikes got off to a hot start, taking a 24–7 lead after the first quarter.
The team carried on the early momentum by outscoring the Colonels in every quarter.
Guard Abby Meyers dominated early and often, scoring a whopping 32 points on only 16 shots, including five three-pointers.
“We continued to run plays for her to get her open, and she did the rest by knocking down the shots,” guard Hannah Niles said.
Niles contributed nine points in the winning effort and guard Marie Hatch scored seven points, but Meyers was the only Viking to reach double digits.
The team followed up that victory by blowing out the Northwood Gladiators at home 78-11 Wednesday night.
They play for a chance to improve to two games over .500 against the Blair Blazers tonight at home.
