The girls tennis team left the Churchill Bulldogs in the dust, beating them 5–0 Tuesday afternoon. for their first undefeated season since 2011.
The game was shortened by rain—first and second doubles did not complete their matches.
First singles player Carina Greenberg capped off her excellent season by winning her match 6–0, 6–2.
The rest of the Vikes who played handled their opponents with ease, conquering most of their matches in straight sets.
The team undoubtedly had an exciting and strong season, especially in their intense two-day win over the Wootton Patriots. In the end, the team’s hard work was successful, leading to a perfect 12–0 record.
“It feels awesome [to go undefeated],” Greenberg said. “Everyone really put a lot of effort in this season and it paid off.”
The girls tennis team will play in the county tournament starting next week.
