The girls tennis team dominated the Poolesville Falcons 6–1 on Saturday morning, maintaining their flawless 6–0 record.
Poolesville plays in a division lower than Whitman, but the Vikes made sure not to overlook them.
“We still had to be aggressive against [Poolesville] because if we didn’t, then we would be playing at the same level as them,” first singles player Sarinah Wahl said. “Sometimes, that is not the best way to win.”
Wahl played first singles in the match, as she trounced her opponent 6–2, 6–0.
“I mostly won my point from winners, but I also let her make mistakes,” Wahl said.
The squad picked up a key victory from first doubles combo Anna Marcus and Ellen Middleton, winning their match 6–3, 6–0.
All six of the matches won were completed in straight sets.
The Vikes will play away against the Blair Blazers, Monday at 3:30.
