Mr. Whitman, a year-end tradition, is a male beauty pageant that features senior boys who demonstrate their unique talents for the entire school. The Black & White grabbed a few of the contestants to uncover their thoughts on the competition.
The Black & White: What’s your talent?
Kevin Cecala: I’m performing the Pokémon theme song.
Aaron Williams: Making a sandwich as my thoughts are projected across the auditorium.
Aaron Shifrin: I’m debating myself on whether Mighty Ducks is the best movie series of all time.
B&W: Who do you consider your biggest competition?
KC: Sammy Zeisel—he’s as good-looking as he is handsome.
AW: Definitely not Aaron Shifrin.
AS: Sammy Zeisel, just because of looks. He’s the only one who can compete with me on an aesthetic level.
B&W: What inspired you to enter a male beauty pageant?
KC: My idol, Kevin Federline.
AW: Danny Williams’ performance of “How to Save a Life.”
AS: Ronald Reagan.
B&W: What’s your most distinguishing feature?
KC: My dashing good looks and charm.
AW: My love of animals.
AS: My soft hands.
B&W: Who’s your Mr. Whitman man-crush?
KC: Noah Gavil—he has the curviest hips.
AW: Aaron Shifrin.
AS: Aaron Williams on an emotional level and Sammy Zeisel on a physical level.
B&W: What’s your dream date?
KC: A sensual painting session at “Made By You.”
AW: A Caps game, won from the Boy Auction.
AS: A combination of sombreros, Enrique Iglesias and bath tubs.
