Coming off an impressive 8–3 record and a strong showing at the regional tournament last year, the girls tennis team looks to have an equally dominant season this fall.
Jasen Gohn, who coached the squad in 2013, is returning this season to lead the team after taking last season off.
Although the team lost two starters, the gaps will be filled this year with many new talented players, including star first singles player Carina Greenberg, who just moved from Texas.
“We have a few new girls on the team who will definitely contribute to our strength,” first doubles player Olivia Matthews said. “Hopefully they can help us beat Wootton, Churchill and B-CC.”
The girls will kick off their season today at 3:30 against Division II opponent QO.
