The girls lacrosse team capped off a 10-2 season with a 18-3 rout of Seneca Valley this Monday, capturing the top seed in their region.
The Eagles were no match for the Vikings precise passing and lock-down defense. The game got out of hand early and the Vikes never looked back.
It wasn’t all positive for the Vikings as midfielder Caroline Schweitzer was ejected after two penalties. This will leave Schweitzer suspended for their first playoff game. The team plans to appeal the suspension to the county.
The Vikings used the blowout to fine tune their offense and prepare for the playoffs goalkeeper Lily Blum said.
“We were able to work on our plays that are going to be really important for playoffs,” she said. “We are going to need to make sure we show up to play a full 50 minute game and to play with intensity the whole time.”
The Lady Vikes look to begin a deep playoff run as they take on the fifth seeded Richard Montgomery Rockets this Saturday.
