The 3-2 boys lacrosse team defeated the 3-2 B-CC Barons April 11 in an overtime thriller by a final score of 3-2.
After the Barons got two early goals in the first quarter, both teams struggled offensively through the 2nd and 3rd quarters, keeping the game at 2-0 heading into the 4th. Captain Dustin Gray scored with 11 minutes left to cut the Baron’s lead to one, then midfielder Grant Miller netted a goal in the final minute to tie the game at 2-2.
The battle heated up as it headed into overtime, during which Miller scored the winning goal to give the Vikes the 3-2 victory over rival B-CC.
The Vikings take on undefeated powerhouse Churchill April 15 in the hopes of clinching their fourth victory of the season.
