The 1-2 boys Lacrosse team lost to the 1-2 Sherwood Warriors 9-5 on the road in Sandy Spring Mar. 23.
The boys struggled offensively early as well as defensively against an experienced Sherwood team to take their first loss of the season.
Coming off of a strong offensive outing against Magruder, the Vikes looked a little bit different early on. By the end of the game attack Alex Hosker netted a hat trick as well as tallying two assists to keep the Vikings in contention. Midfield Dustin Gray also added a goal and midfield Grant Miller had an assist.
Sherwood’s Chris Voorhees stood out in the game with five goals and an assist and Michael Crooks also added two more goals. In the net, Sherwood’s William Wykoff was hard to beat with 14 saves, but the Vikings still managed to score a few goals.
The Vikings take on the 1-1 Clarksburg Coyotes Friday Apr. 5 at home when they look to bump up their record to .500.
