Students came into school May 25 to find a glaring message emblazoned in red and black on the front of the school: “Feed the rich, eat the poor –2012.”
The anonymous graffiti was written in full sight of anyone entering the parking lot. Building service and security discovered the graffiti around 6:00 a.m., security assistant Andrew Weiss said.
The police and MCPS have been contacted, and an investigation is underway. As of now, no suspects have been named. Security estimates the vandalism took place between 11:00 pm and 5:00 am. The graffiti will likely be removed by building services later today, Weiss said.

hmmm, sounds reminiscent of a compulsory 12th grade honors english reading assignment… regardless of how ‘bad’ it is to vandalize public school property, or the intent of the perpetrator, i think there is validity in the idea that whitmanites’ and bethesdians’ lifestyles serve as a passive endorsement of a statement not dissimilar to the one which was painted on the school walls and disclosed in this article…

@CM Punk: I was just asking a question because I was confused about it. The bathroom grafetti is still there, and it’s much more common, which is why I asked. I had a feeling you were joking, but I was just doing it because I sometimes get bored, and really, no one else does, so why not me? Really, no need to attack me.

By writing stories about petty graffiti, the Black&White gives the tagger way more attention than he or she (but probably he) deserves and would otherwise have received. This graffiti doesn’t seem to be on a large enough scale to merit an article. All this article does is give the tagger what he wanted: more attention.

Also, @Cameron Why do you always seem to be the guy who has to come in on his white horse and save the day. You always seem to have your undies in a bunch over small things in some articles.

@Cameron I wasn’t being serious, it was a joke…..The thing with putting it on a wall of the school outside is that a coat of paint won’t get rid of it unlike on the bathroom or an inside wall.

@CM Punk: What the heck? Why are you trying to put logic in graffiti?
Also, the funny thing is, there is grafiti all over the school bathrooms and bridges over roads, but when a kid puts grafiti on school brick…apparently that’s going too far. I know why, but isn’t that kind of weird?

I support freedom of the press but by posting the picture all you do is give reason for others to do the same thing so they can see their “work” in the paper (whether print or on line.) Put the article in but not necessary for the picture.

Shouldn’t say “Feed the poor, Eat the Rich”? The poor are tough and stringy, wouldn’t it be better to eat the fat, rich people?
