Guess what…baseball is still going on. We know that in recent years people have stopped watching the World Series, but tonight will be the game to watch.
The St. Louis Cardinals and the Texas Rangers have been fighting it out for five games now, and the Rangers currently have the advantage, 3-2. With that being said, the Cardinals won’t back down. In Game Three, Albert Pujols bombed three homers, tying an MLB record with greats Babe Ruth and Reggie Jackson, according to MLB.com, and helping the Cardinals bring in 16 runs. But their offensive prowess was halted in game four when Rangers’ pitcher Derek Holland threw a gem with a shutout through 8 and one-third innings, helping the Rangers take the 3-2 lead over the Cards.
Tonight, both teams will be going even harder than before. The Cardinals are on the brink of elimination while the Rangers can win it all.
Both teams’ league-leading offenses will have to be hitting on full cylinders if they want to win, and we expect another big night from Pujols. You’re going to see both teams dig deep into their bullpens to try and scrounge up a victory in this one.
We know you gave up on baseball two months ago, but put your favorite cap back on and watch the game tonight at eight on FOX.
