Cross country competes in county-wide race

Cross country competed in the Montgomery County Championship Oct. 22.

Senior Nick Adams finished in sixth place, while the boys team placed tenth with a total of 288 points. The Churchill Bulldogs took home the first place win with 72 total points.

Girls runners Caroline Guiot and Anna Ryba dominated again, finishing second and third respectively behind Churchill’s Lucy Srour. Junior Caroline Elmendorf finished fourteenth and Alexandra Phillips finished sixteenth.

With the wide-spread effort, the girls team finished second overall, losing to the BCC Barons by five points.

The team heads to Clarksburg to race against regional opponents at the 4A West Regional Championships Nov. 3.
