D.C. United player to attend boys soccer game against Walter Johnson

D.C. United player Chris Pontius will come to the boys soccer game against the Walter Johnson Wildcats Oct. 15. Pontius, whose father is a leukemia survivor, recently signed on as an honorary chair for the Pennies for Patients program.

The game begins at 5:00 at Walter Johnson. Pontius will most likely arrive at the field at 4:30 to meet the teams and stay for the first half to sign autographs and take photos.

Pennies for Patients is a fundraising program that benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma society.
