The Vikes started off the first game strong with six unanswered points. They kept the lead most of the game, but despite strong teamwork, the Patriots were able to tie it up, 22-22. The Vikes could not hold them back and eventually lost, 26-24.
The second game started out evenly. Both teams played well and neither could gain a clear lead. The Vikes could not keep it up, however, and were defeated, 25-17.
Despite this loss, captain Amanda Azmi has high hopes for the team.
“All of us have different experience levels, but when we come together we know exactly how to be a team and be aggressive,” she said.
The Vikes aim to rebound when they take on the 2-6 Einstein Titans Oct. 13.
