The softball team fell to the Magruder Colonels, 7-6, in the first round of the playoffs on May 12, officially ending its season.
The Vikes started off strong with a homerun from Sydney Gertzog in the first inning. The team had success hitting against the slow pitches from Magruder throughout most of the game.
Defensively, pitcher Ali Rhode and shortstop Rachel Sisco led the team, making great plays to keep the Vikings in front.

The Vikes had a 6-3 lead going into the sixth inning, but the Colonels were able to tie the game and then take the lead in the seventh.
