The softball team fell to the Churchill Bulldogs, 13-3, on April 29, dropping its record to 6-5-1.
The Vikes were unable to overcome multiple errors in the field and trouble at bat. Pitcher Ali Rhode struggled on the mound, allowing 13 runs in the game.
Captain Sarah Macy said the team needs to improve fielding in order to reduce the amount of errors. She feels that there is no doubt that the team is capable of doing better, despite their problems at bat and in the field.
“Our spirits were low,” Macy said. “But hopefully we will be able to get them back up for our next three games this week.”
