McGee can bring his own title to DC

With the 2011 All-Star Weekend coming up in February, Washington Wizards fans can have something to look forward to during this disappointing season. JaVale McGee will be the first ever player in Wizards/Bullets franchise history to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest on February 19th.

The 7 foot McGee is known for his thunderous dunks, which have been wooing  fans and opposing players. His 91 inch wingspan, in addition to his agility, makes him a rare talent in the NBA. However, he will face stiff competition in dunking sensation Blake Griffin, who is the favorite for winning the contest. Also in this year’s contest will be Serge Ibaka and Brandon Jennings. All of the contestants are participating for their first time. Look for John Wall to provide a helping hand for McGee in the contest as he will most likely participate in this year’s Rookie Challenge. To provide readers with a taste of what McGee has to offer, here are his top five dunks of the season.
