Police reward for information on shooter identity

Detectives continue to look for information about the suspect who shot former Whitman parent Ashoka Mody in his garage earlier this month. County police and the crime solving team are offering up to a $1,000 reward for information that would help arrest the shooter.

“The victim in this case does continue to make progress towards recovery,” police spokeswoman Lucille Baur said. “He continues to be hospitalized, though.”

Police are investigating a small, dark-colored car that was on Millwood Road the evening of the shooting with its lights off, according to a police statement.
