Girls lacrosse dominates B–CC to advance to section finals

The girls lacrosse team (11–1) defeated cross-town rival B–CC Barons (8–5) 15–4 Saturday in the second round of the playoffs to advance to the section finals.

The Vikes took charge offensively from the start, taking a 12–1 lead at halftime.

“The goals were spread out over the whole team,” goalie Claire Hisle said. “I think this shows how strong everyone on the team is and how well we work together as one unit.”

Although the team only scored two goals in the second half, they dominated defensively to keep the Barons from getting back into the game.

The team hopes this big win will carry into their next playoff game, which is at home Monday at 7pm against the Walter Johnson Wildcats, who they beat 12–7 in the regular season.

“I think this game has helped us to build momentum for what we know will be a very challenging team,” Hisle said. “WJ is a strong team and I am looking forward to the game Monday.”
