The outdoor track team had their second official meet of the season Apr. 24 at Chantilly High School in Chantilly, VA against 41 opponents from around the county. The team’s top placements were scarce, without any runner finishing in the top three. The men’s team ended in 28th place out of 32 teams, with the women’s team placing in the top half, at 13th out of 27 opponents.

The team did have a number of top ten finishes, with the best result coming from the Boys 4×800 meter relay. Juniors Dalton Yu, Ben Rumsfeld and Obi Onwuamaegbu, as well as sophomore Ben Lesser, led the team to a fourth place finish in the event. Sophomore Solomon Adeoti finished 7th out of 57 competitors in the 100 meter relay with a season record time.

The team’s next official meet is the Montgomery County Championships, at Watkins Mill High School on Wed. May 9th.
