The Viking gymnastics team had their fourth meet of the season at home against Blake High School and Blair High School on Apr. 24. Blake had 135.9 points, Blair finished second with 140.25 while Whitman won with 146.8 points.

The team’s did not win first place in any events, but still had a number of top finishers.

The team’s best performances came from freshmen Eleanor Taylor and Lexi Hymes. Taylor placed second in the Beam with a score of 8.1, while Hymes also placed second in the Floor section with a score of 8.5. Junior Kristy Rossi also placed third in the Vault, and freshman Holly Adams placed third in the Bars.

The team’s next meet is on Apr. 30 at Springbrook High School against Springbrook and Walter Johnson.
