Baseball annihilates Wheaton 10–0

By Jessie Solomon

In an overwhelming victory on Wednesday, the baseball team (7–3) obliterated the Wheaton Knights (3–5), winning in six innings 10–0.

Typically right fielder, junior Zach Werkman pitched 5 solid innings, with pitcher Peter Montgomery closing out in the last inning. The Vike’s offense also persistently scored throughout the game, scoring 2 plus runs in the first, fourth, fifth and sixth innings.

This game brings the Vikes’ win streak to five games. With a powerful offensive lineup at bat and an unbreakable defense, the squad is becoming a force to be reckoned with.

The squad hopes to bring this momentum into their next game on Friday at home against crosstown rivals the BCC Barons at 3:45 p.m.
