The wrestling team (0–1) opened their season with a 42–32 loss in a competitive match with the Rockville Rams on Wednesday.

126 lb Clark Boinis, 182 lb Mason Austin Brantly and 285 lb Tom Wilmarth each pinned their opponents, and first time wrestler 113 lb Sean Fleming won his match on a major decision.

Although the Vikings struggled to cope with their lack of experience, new members of the team showed promise in the first matches of their high school careers. The team expects there to be significant improvement in the coming weeks.

The Vikings return home next Tuesday to face the Wootton Patriots.
