The girls lacrosse team improved to 6–1 Thursday, manhandling the B-CC Barons 14–4. Midfielders Eden Gray and Maddie Parker dominated once again and goalkeeper Hannah Tatem kept up her great season, locking down her end of the field.
Gray, who scored four goals, credited the victory to teamwork.
“We all played together and shared the ball,” she said. “The majority of the goals were off of assists.”
Parker added three goals and also contributed to the assist count. Despite the blowout, Parker says the team played with the same explosiveness they always do.
“We focused on what we needed to improve on from last game against Churchill and came out with intensity,” she said. “It wasn’t as close as we had expected but continually worked as hard as we could the full 50 minutes.”
Tatem was key for the Vikes, only letting in one goal while making numerous saves down the stretch, keeping the Bulldogs from having any chance of a comeback. She was subbed out for Claire Hisle with about ten minutes to go.
The Vikings look to win their sixth straight game when they host the Sherwood Warriors Tuesday.
