The 6-5 field hockey team fell to the 12-1 Walter Johnson Wildcats in a 0-4 loss, Oct. 24.
From the start, the Vikes’ defense struggled, letting in goals from Walter Johnson midfielders Anna Rowthorn-Apel and Catherine Royston.
Already having lost to Walter Johnson once this season, the Vikings lost again to the Wildcats despite the their best efforts.
“I think we all played extremely well, but WJ is a very good team and it’s too bad we had to play them first round,” Midfield Jordan Martin said.
The game marked the end of a hard fought season for the Vikes who finished the season with a record of 6-5.
