The golf team shot a total score of 332 at the District tournament at Rattlewood Golf Course Oct. 3, qualifying it for the state tournament.
Captain Sam Pastoriza and Andrew Barth tied individually for ninth place out of fifty possible spots with a score of 78 each. Danny Mills shot an 80, Joe Davis shot an 83 and Nick West shot an 86 to contribute to team’s success.
The Walter Johnson Wildcats and the Wootton Patriots tied for first place overall, both scoring an impressive 312.
The team finished with a regular season record of 13-4-1 in a total of 6 matches and the big victory at Districts further improved its record.
Playing on a tough course, the Vikes’ collaborative effort earned them a ticket right into the State Tournament Oct. 22 at the University of Maryland.
