The golf team tees off Aug. 29 against Churchill, Damascus and B-CC at Bretton Woods Country Club in Potomac.
A lot has changed since the team placed second in the state tournament last year, junior Stephen Sharbaugh said. The Vikings this year have depth, featuring plenty of young talent and the leadership of captain Sam Pastoriza.
Over the next two months, the team looks to knock out rival squads such as Walter Johnson, Wootton, Churchill and B-CC. With the experience of seniors Joe Davis, Nick West and Sam Pastoriza, the Vikes hope to use their seniority to prevail through some tough match-ups.
Keep your eyes on the golf team this fall. With a lot of skill and potential, the boys look to bring home a state championship. Even if tournaments are far away, come out to support the Vikes. It will certainly be worth the “drive.”
