The boys lacrosse team fell to the 12-2 Churchill Bulldogs in the second round of playoffs May 11 with a final score of 14-12, ending its season with an overall record of 9-7.
Attacks Christian Sanson and Trevor Hains netted five and three goals respectively to rack up the score. Captain Ryan Craig scored a hat trick while midfielders Richard Miller and Dustin Gray each contributed one goal.
Although both the offense and defense were very active throughout the game, the Vikes couldn’t hold the Bulldogs back.
“We played the hardest we’ve ever played all season,” midfielder Byron Kunst said. “We ended the season with no regrets.”
Placed in a tough division with several strong teams, the Vikings finished the season with an in-division record of 2-3 and an overall winning record of 9-7.
