The softball team fell to the Damascus Hornets, 15-0, March 26, dropping its record to 1-2.
The Vikes had trouble getting players on base while on offense, but did a good job keeping balls in front of them in the outfield. Mental errors plagued the Vikes and allowed the Hornets, one of the best teams in the county, to get ahead early in the game.
Despite the loss, captain Abby Fisher is confident that the team can rebound and move forward during the rest of the season.
“The team did well communicating,” Fisher said. “We still have a lot to work on.”
