The swim team performed well Feb. 11 at the Washington Metropolitan Interscholastic Swimming and Diving Championships.
The girls fell by two points to rival Churchill, 382-380. Thanks to a great start, the Bulldogs were able to hold off the surging Vikings late in the meet and secure a victory.
In the 200-yard medley relay, the team of Victoria Kuhn, Lisa Deng, Katie Mahaffie and Sarah Kannan finished third with a time of 1:51.33, while Charlotte Meyer placed first in the individual medley, completing the race in a MCPS, METRO and pool record time of 1:58.19.
The team of Kannan, Reia Tong, Meyer and Audrey Gould placed first in the 200-yard freestyle relay finishing in 1:35.39. Tong also placed second in the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle.
The boys team placed seventh, with individual scores to be released at a later date.
The team looks to keep winning when it competes at the 4A Regional swim meet Feb. 18 at the MLK Jr. Indoor Swim Center.
