The tennis team defeated its opponents, 5-1, Oct. 28, in the semifinals of the county tournament.
The Vikings are in great position to do well in the finals, sending five members of the team.
Singles players Nicole Welch and Hannah Stahl defeated Bethesda Chevy Chase and Walter Johnson 6-1, 6-3 and 6-1, 6-1 respectively. Kamilla Beisenova also defeated her Walter Johnson opponent 6-4, 6-1.
On the doubles court, captain Grace Chandler and Anna Volkov defeated Walter Johnson 6-2, 6-2.

The team look to win its matches in the county finals Oct. 31 at Walter Johnson.
