The volleyball team defeated the Poolesville Falcons, 3-1, Sept. 27, raising its record to 3-3.
The Vikes started the game off neck in neck with the Falcons. Due to miscommunication by Poolesville, the Vikes pulled away with a 25-20 win.
Match two was marked by strong defensive play from hitters Catherine Benz and Paulina Levy. The Vikes dominated, winning 25-10.
The Falcons capitalized on the Vikes’ mistakes in the third match and took a 19-15 lead heading into the end of the match. Poolesville eventually pulled out the win, giving the Vikes a 2-1 match lead.
The Vikes came out strong in the fourth match, pulling ahead 9-2. Thanks to Benz, Levy and Craig, the Vikes won the fourth match, giving them the victory.
The girls travel to Kennedy to face the Cavaliers Sept. 30.
