The girls tennis team defeated the Blair Blazers, 7-0, Sept. 13, improving its record to 3-0.
The match was a good indication of how well the Lady Vikes will perform this season, as the Blazers were their first D-I opponent.
Number one singles player Nicole Welch won 6-2, 6-2, while captains Grace Chandler and Nicky Gottret defeated their opponents 6-2, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0 respectively.

The victory motivates the team as they head into their Sept. 15 match against the undefeated BCC Barons.
“It’s really important that we are confident heading into this match,” Chandler said.
