Takoma Park Folk Festival features music and crafts

The sound of steel guitars and banjos filled the air at the 34th annual Takoma Park Folk Festival Sept. 11 at Takoma Park Middle School.

Visitors at the Takoma Park Folk Festival enjoy the seven different music stages and the food offerings. Local artists also displayed their art at Takoma Park Middle School.

For the main music attraction, seven stages each showcased a different style of music. Banjo man Frank Cassel, the Foggy Bottom Morris Men, the Arlington Northwest Morris Women and the Rock Creek Morris Women all performed and danced throughout the festival.

Artists from Takoma Park also showcased their work at the craft showcase which filled the cafeteria of the school with booths selling pottery, jewlery and crafts.
