Montgomery County Police took a 23-year-old male into custody for medical evaluation today after a four-hour standoff last night.
Police responded to a call from a house on Coach Street at around 8:15 p.m., after the male threatened to harm himself following a family dispute. Officers responding to the parents’ domestic violence call were told that the son had a firearm, and an emergency response team came in to negotiate with him.
Officers around the house reported hearing at least one gunshot from inside the house during the incident, but at around 12:45 a.m., the male surrendered. No one was injured, police said.
