San Antonio Police found Rachel Reilly and Nicholas Balderson, both Sherwood High School students who’ve been missing since Jan. 12.
Police found Reilly Jan. 27 and Balderson’s father found him two days later.
After hearing that Reilly and Balderson could be in the San Antonio, Texas area, Montgomery County police began working with the San Antonio police department to find the missing kids.
San Antonio police received information that Reilly and Balderson might be at a homeless camp near a truck stop, T and A Travel Center of America in San Antonio, said Howard Hersh, Montgomery County police media spokesperson.
When police approached the two teens matching the description of Reilly and Balderson at the camp, the teens fled on foot. Police were able to stop Reilly, but Balderson escaped. Balderson’s father found him at the same homeless camp Jan. 29.
Both teens have now been reunited with their families in Olney, Md., Hersh said.
Family of the missing students created a Facebook event, “FIND COLE BALDERSON AND RACHEL REILLY,” which ended Feb. 1 to help spread information and answer questions of those who are trying to help. The event had more than 18,000 members.
“Thank you to everyone for their wonderful help and support,” Paula Kress, a family friend, wrote on the Facebook group. “As both Cole and Rachel will be returning soon please remember to give the families the privacy they need to ensure the proper healing they require at this time.”
Reilly and Balderson appear to be uninjured and in good health, Montgomery County police said. Police declined to comment on the reason for the students’ disappearance.

Change first line to Nicolas “Cole” Balderson, so that people know who “Cole’s father” is referring to..

Why did they run away in the first place? That was never specified. It seems that they were just being rowdy teenagers and running away.
