Students filled the commons to celebrate French culture during lunch

By Olivia Hansel

Students filled the commons for a French culture lunch hosted by Whitman’s French Club for the second year in a row. There, students had the chance to enjoy upbeat music and taste test French pastries such as crêpes, profiterole cream puffs and croissants. Posters also depicted parts of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe.

Throughout lunch, students waited patiently while their peers made the pastries.

French teachers Michele Beach and Helen Harris put together three gallons of crêpe batter in preparation for the event with the help of donated ingredients from parents.
