Boys soccer beats QO 3–2 in overtime

The boys soccer team (2–0–1) outlasted the Quince Orchard Cougars (0–2) 3–2 in overtime Tuesday night.
Both teams started off slow, but the Vikes managed to take a 1–0 lead just before halftime on a free kick scored by midfielder Ian Poe. The Vikes then took a two goal lead following the start of the second half, but the Cougars came back with two quick goals before the end of the second half to tie the game and force the match into overtime.
The game resumed with one period of golden-goal overtime, in which the Vikes scored with three minutes left to win the game. Winger Harmond Cohen netted the overtime goal propelling the Vikes to a win.
The Vikes next face St. Benedict’s Prep (NJ) (4–0) Saturday at 2:00 pm at home.
